I am tired of the “I don’t have anything to wear” feeling I get most mornings when running behind (umm…that’s always!). Getting dressed doesn’t have to be a mystery which is why I am excited to share with you how you can get a month of outfit ideas for teachers in one quick click!

I still remember this conversation I had with my Cooperating Teacher during my Spring Semester Student Teaching class. I told her it had been six weeks and I had yet to wear the same outfit twice. The thought of that conversation now makes me kind of grossed out.
About four years ago I really started learning about my health and putting healthy whole things into my body. It then transitioned into how I could buy things to put on my body that treated people with dignity.
About that time I also went through a phase of wanting to try the capsule wardrobe thing but also feeling so overwhelmed with how to even create the capsule wardrobe.
The Importance of Quality Outfits
Then….enter Alison from Get Your Pretty On!
Alison creates fantastic “style challenges” which give you all the pieces you need to create your perfect outfit. What I love about the idea behind this is she tells you everything you need- pants, shirts, dresses, shoes, bags, etc.
She calls them a challenge but literally nothing about it is a challenge. She just tells you what you need to buy and how you can style it to wear it so many different ways.
Each season she comes out with an updated guide for that season. (You can get this season’s guide right here!)
Plus she has a ton of other really helpful outfit builders:
- Work Wear Closet Staples Builder
- Menswear Closet Staples Builder
- SAHM Casual Wardrobe Basics Builder (this is great after #2020)
- Closet Staples Casual Capsule Wardrobe Builder (I have this one and love it!)
Outfit Ideas for Teachers
When I first started teaching (and in that awful story about how cool I thought I was that I had so many clothes I could go 6 weeks…) my outfits were boring black “dress pants” and a top (ugh!).
I still remember the day (like it was yesterday) when I got my first “jean day” at school and was able to wear a cute outfit I would normally wear out with girlfriends.
Literally, that day I ROCKED it at teaching!
I truly believe your outfit can make your day. But you don’t have to spend a ton of money buying all new clothes or have a plethora of clothes hanging in your closets.
It’s another thing I love about the style challenge I first got (which I still use today, btw!).

The challenge I used gave me the essentials I needed and then showed me all the different ways I could put the pieces together to create different outfits.
So each day I can leave the house wearing some of the same pieces but in a completely different way each time!

Is it time to step up your school clothes? If your outfit can make your day, why not invest in something that can help you make that a reality!
Literally, sometimes something as simple as a new outfit you feel confident in can totally change your outlook on the day and the Closet Staples Casual Capsule Wardobe can help you do just that!
