Holly is such a sweet friend who I have spent the past four years working with. In fact, we shared a wall all four years of our teaching together. Holly joined our 3rd grade team in 2013 right in time to see me go through my “year of hell”. The following year we moved to 2nd grade where Holly encountered some severe behavior challenges. Holly shares how her faith was an integral part of keeping her going each and every day. She also shares practical ways to encourage those of you going through difficult struggles in the classroom right now.
We also talk about Holly’s recent transition into a school counselor at a local charter school. I was encouraged by her reminder that the school counselor doesn’t hold the “magic wand” to fix a kid, but is an additional support for that child.
The episode wraps up with us giving the listeners a very valuable lesson on how to eat properly. Holly shares about her experiences dog fostering and tells us some things she is loving right now!
I’d love for you to have a listen HERE! And I would especially love it if you shared it with your other teacher friends!!!
