This month I am so excited to be featuring all sorts of goodies on the blog and podcast for first year teachers! Today we are talking about advice for student teachers because I know so many of you out there are planning for your year in student teaching or just finished up and are getting ready to be a real teacher in a real classroom!
I am so excited to have Emily on the podcast this week to talk to new teachers. If you want to catch up on all the other episodes for new teachers this month here ya go:
10 Things You can do Right Now to Prepare for the New School Year
Unpacking a Classroom in an Organized Way
Preventing Burnout as a First Year Teacher
Advice for Student Teachers
Emily and I had a great time chatting, so much so that we chatted for almost an hour and a half (yeah, I cut some out for ya!). We talked about anything and everything!
But the “meat” of this show is centered around supporting student teachers and teachers getting ready for their very first year in the classroom. Emily is the perfect person to speak to this because she just finished up her first year of teaching. (You can also check out her bff Britany Cox, who also was on the podcast shortly after her first year or teaching was over.)
Emily and I also talk management strategies in the secondary classroom and y’all, we even venture into wedding planning! It’s a fun show.
I’d love for you to have a listen HERE. And I would especially love it if you shared it with your other teacher friends!!!
