Teacher Burnout is a rising trend in the education community. In 2018 Gallup reported 60% of teachers who left their job did so for some type of career advancement. Meaning 60% of teachers weren’t happy with where they were in their career and left. Have you felt unhappy or burnt out with your job as a teacher? In this podcast I talk with Kelsey Graffis about ways to prevent burnout as a teacher so more great teachers will actually stay in the profession!
On today’s show Kelsey shares some things from her first year of teaching that she wishes she would have done differently, in relation to self care. Take her advice y’all, she is a real teacher, with real passion! Just like you- but she also realized really quickly how much that passion can take over and cause you to work way too much and take hardly anytime for yourself.
Here is quick recap of what we discuss on the podcast:

Things to look out for during your first year of teaching that might lead to burn out later on down the road
How to combat that feeling of needing to do all the things
